Licensed North Carolina Therapist.

Hi and welcome!

I have been a psychologist for over 15 years and have worked in various outpatient settings with a variety of people.

I graduated with my doctoral degree in counseling psychology in 2004 from University at Buffalo. I completed my postdoctoral training at University of Rochester Medical Center, specializing in community mental health.

My Therapy Background

For the first 5 years of my career, I worked for state agencies and specialized in forensic (criminal) psychology. In 2010, I decided to return to working in the treatment side of psychology in the community. I established a thriving private practice in Rochester, NY where I worked with people suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship issues.
In 2015, I began to work for the Veterans Administration (VA) hospital where I specialized in treating trauma/PTSD. A year later, I transferred to a VA hospital in NC, where I continue to work with veterans with trauma/PTSD. Once again, I feel the need to expand my reach into the local community with a return to private practice.

It’s important to find a therapist that’s a good fit. Let’s chat!

Finding the right therapist can make all the difference. Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and supported—and that connection matters just as much as the techniques used in sessions. I encourage you to trust your instincts and ask questions so you can decide whether working together feels right for you.

The feedback I’ve received throughout the years from those I’ve worked with includes:

  • They feel comfortable with me right away.
  • They know I care about them and genuinely want to help them and see them do well.
  • I am down to Earth and easy to talk to.
  • They look forward to sessions and can tell they are changing and seeing differences in themselves, their relationships, and the choices they make.
